KENTE SCOTT

Kenté Scott was born and raised in Oakland, California. Although his father wanted him to be a doctor, Kenté was destined for a different life path as he started to appear in commercials and stage plays while attending UCLA. Upon graduation, he decided to pursue a career in acting and stand-up comedy. Kenté started doing stand-up in 1996 at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood. He has left crowds laughing all over the country, performing with such comic heavyweights as Katt Williams, Cedric The Entertainer, Melody Camacho, Chris Spencer, and Rodney Perry. As an actor, Kenté has appeared in numerous films and television series. He co-starred in Denzel Washington’s directorial debut, “Antwone Fisher”, and played the lead in Showtime’s critically acclaimed movie, “They Call Me Sirr”, co-starring Michael Clarke Duncan. Kenté has been a guest star on hit shows such as “ER”, “The Parkers”, “Strong Medicine”, and “Half & Half”. In 2007, Kenté focussed his attention on his production company, Legacy Films Entertainment, which specializes in feature films and sitcoms that illustrate the diversity of the African-American experience. Look for his first feature, Billy Do, a urban horror movie like nothing any audience has seen before. Recently, Kenté has been refining his stand-up routine in comedy clubs all around the country, so watch for more big things from this all-around talent in the very near future.
